    Baston: Josquin B., ein ohne Zweifel flandrischer Musiker des 16. Jahrhunderts, von dessen Leben übrigens nichts bekannt ist. Nicht unbedeutende Compositionen von ihm finden sich in den „Quat. voc. mus. modulationes“, Antwerpen 1542; im 1.—13. Buch der „Chansons à quatre parties“, Antwerpen bei Tylman Susato 1543—58; in Salblinger's „Concertus octo 6, 5 et 4 vocum“, Augsburg 1545; „Cantionum sacr., 5 et 6 vocum, libr. 1—8“, Löwen 1554 bis 57; und im „Liber octavus 5 et 8 voc. cantionum sacr.“, daselbst 1561.
