    Bode: Johann Justus B., geb. zu Bodenburg im Braunschweigischen um 1676, † 12. Oct. 1719 als Professor der Mathematik und Metaphysik zu Coburg, studirte seit 1694 zu Jena, dann zu Helmstädt. Im J. 1715 wurde er als Professor nach Coburg berufen. Er war der Erfinder des Instrumentum universale Uranoscopico-horologico-geometricum, welches er in einer Schrift (Coburg 1717. 4) beschrieb. Außerdem gab er heraus: „Curieuse Spatzier-Sonnenuhr“ (Saalfeld 1718).
