    Buff: Joh. Friedrich Christoph B., geb. 22. Oct. 1756 zu Queckborn, 1784—1806 zweiter, 1806 erster Stadt- und Burgprediger zu Gießen, seit 1805 zugleich geistlicher Inspector über das Stadt- und Landamt Gießen, 1807 auch Kirchen- und Schulrath, 1809 zweiter Superintendent, † 13. März 1826. Herausgeber eines „Magazins für Fest- und Casualpredigten“ (Herborn und Hadamar 1798—1807) und (mit J. B. Müller) eines „Magazins für Wochen- und Leichenpredigten“ (Marburg 1794—1800).
