    Dedekind: Johann Ludwig Julius D., braunschweigischer Jurist, geb. 21. Februar 1728 zu Scheppenstedt, † 1787. Er studirte seit 1745 in Helmstädt und wurde nach beendigten Studien zuerst Advocat bei dem Hofgericht in Wolfenbüttel, dann Klosterrath daselbst und Gerichtsschultheiß zu Scheppenstedt, 1783 aber herzogl. Lehnsfiscal und Kammerrath zu Wolfenbüttel. Als juristischer Schriftsteller trat er gegen Daniel Nettelbladt auf mit der „Commentatio iuridica de contractu, quem irregulare depositum perhibuerunt“, 1753. Auch verfaßte er eine „Einleitung zum Proceß der herzogl. Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel’schen Gerichte“, 1776.
