Biography

A. übernahm 1835 die 1828 vom Vater gegründete Frankfurter Filiale des Verlages und errichtete 1839 eine Pianofortefabrik, in der es ihm gelang, die Mechanik des Mozartflügels zu verbessern. Er schrieb „Der Klavierbau in seiner Geschichte und seiner technischen und musikalischen Bedeutung“ (1855).
