    Cramer: Johann Rudolf C., Bruder von Johann Jakob C. (s. S. 547), geb. 14. Februar 1678 zu Elgg, anfänglich Mediciner, dann durch den Bruder in morgenländische Studien eingeführt, reiste 1701 nach Leyden um Surenhus zu hören, ward 1702 nach seines Bruders Tode Professor zu Zürich, starb am 14. Juli 1737. Vgl. über ihn Jöcher, Escher in Ersch und Gruber's Encyklopädie I, 20. S. 79. — Verschiedene Titel seiner Schriften in Leu's Lexikon. Besonders hervorzuheben sind: „Maimonidis constitutiones de primitivis cum versione latina et notis philologicis“, Leyden 1702, in 7 zusammenhängenden Dissertationen.
