    Widmann: Franz W., Kanonist, geboren zu Wissen im J. 1711, † im J. 1775. Er war Jesuit und lehrte kanonisches Recht im Ordenshause zu Regensburg und Innsbruck. Er schrieb ein „Jus canonicum theoretico-practicum utrique foro, canonico et civili, accommodatum“ (1760, 5 vol.), das indessen wesentlich auf anderen Werken ruht.
