Biography
Werner: Franz W., katholischer Geistlicher, geboren zu Mainz am 21. October 1779, † daselbst 1845, war Kanonikus zu St. Stephan daselbst, seit 1803 Domdechant. Er ist Verfasser des Werkes „Der Dom von Mainz und seine Denkmäler. Nebst Darstellung der Schicksale der Stadt und Geschichte seiner Erzbischöfe bis zur Translation des erzbischöflichen Sitzes nach Regensburg“ (Mainz 1827—36, 2 Bände).
