    Uffels: Johann van U. (Uffelius), Sohn des Patriciers und Dr. iur. utr. Severin van U., geb. zu Brüssel, nach Studien in Löwen Advocat in Antwerpen, wo er im J. 1617 in sehr jugendlichem Alter starb. Er veröffentlichte zu Antwerpen „Notae in Did. Covarruviae varias resolutiones“ (1604) und „Consultatio matrimonialis“ (1611), über die Frage: ob ein Zusammenleben, das lange gedauert und in der öffentlichen Meinung als Ehe gegolten habe, nach Tridentinischem Rechte als Concubinat anzusehen sei.
