    Das Geschlecht ist in vielen Zweigen in Mitteldeutschland vertreten. Erwähnung verdienen noch der preußische Oberhofprediger und Generalsuperintendent in Königsberg →Gustav (1819–89), der verschiedene Reformen erfolgreich durchführte (Prüfungswesen, Visitationen, Provinzial-Gesangbuch), und sein Sohn, der Schriftsteller und Philosoph →Paul (1852-1919), der sich auf rationalistisch-monistischer Grundlage vorwiegend religionsphilosophischen Problemen widmete und in diesem Geist in Chicago die beiden Zeitschriften „The Open Court“ (seit 1887) und „The Monist“ (seit 1890) redigierte.
