    Reymann: Matthäus R., ein Lautenist, aus Thorn in Preußen gebürtig, gab 1598 ein Lautenbuch mit Präludien, Fantasien, Passemezzi, Paduanen, Galliarden und anderen Tänzen heraus, betitelt: „Noctes musicae, studio et industria Matthaei Reymani Toronensis Borussi concinnatae. Editio est Voegeliana“. Eine offic. Voegeliana befand sich in Heidelberg. Im Kataloge der Brüsseler königlichen öffentlichen Bibliothek ist Leipzig als Druckort bezeichnet, doch fehlt dem dortigen Exemplare das Titelblatt. Fétis berichtet, daß sich R. als Lautenist im Dienste des Kurfürsten von Köln befunden habe. Allerdings gab R. sein zweites Lautenbuch, betitelt: „Cythara sacra, sive Psalmodiae Davidis ad usum testudinis accommodatae“, in Köln 1613 heraus und läßt sich diese Annahme daher wol rechtfertigen. Das Lautenbuch von 1598 besitzen noch die Stadtbibliotheken in Breslau und Hamburg und das von 1613 die königliche Bibliothek in Berlin.
