Biography
Neufeld: Georg N., zu Danzig geboren, Sohn des Professors Georg N., auf den Danziger Schulen ausgebildet, wurde 1647 in Wittenberg Magister der Philosophie, hielt dort eine öffentliche theologische Disputation, 1649 in Jena ebenfalls mit Bezug auf den synkretistischen Streit, und endlich 1650 und 1652 auch in Königsberg (Ostpreußen). 1653 wurde er Professor der praktischen Philosophie, Logik und Methaphysik an dem Danziger Gymnasium, wie auch Bibliothekar an der „Rathsbibliothek“, der jetzigen Stadtbibliothek. Er starb am 2. August 1673. Eine große Anzahl philosophischer Abhandlungen sind von ihm veröffentlicht worden.
