  • Biography

    Müller: Kaspar M., ein Dichter geistlicher Lieder, stammt aus Werdau, wurde im J. 1536 zu Wittenberg inscribirt und lebte hernach in Weimar. Er verfaßte poetische Psalmenbearbeitungen, welche im J. 1550 gedruckt erschienen und der Landgräfin Sibilla von Thüringen gewidmet sind. — Ein anderer gleichzeitiger Kaspar M. ist der mansfeldische Kanzler, der mit Luther und dessen Familie befreundet war und u. a. Luther im J. 1530 auf der Coburg besuchte; an ihn sind mehrere noch vorhandene Briefe von Luther gerichtet.
