  • Biography

    Meyfart: Heinrich M., Bruder des Folgenden, ward am 9. September 1627 zum Diakonus nach Waltershausen berufen und starb in diesem Amte im J. 1635. Er ist Verfasser des geistlichen Liedes: „Ach Gott, dein' arme Christenheit jetzt allenthalb'n Verfolgung leid't“, das auf die Kriegsnöthe jener Zeiten hinweist; es ist, soweit bekannt, zuerst in einem Berliner Gesangbuch von 1640 gedruckt.
