    Mevius: Christoph Julius M., lutherischer Geistlicher um die Mitte des vorigen Jahrhunderts, gehört zu dem jüngern pietistischen Dichterkreis. Einige geistliche Lieder von ihm sind im Wernigeroder Gesangbuch von 1752 „Neue Sammlung geistlicher Lieder“, abgedruckt; hierunter das Lied: „Ich bin vergnügt, weil ich an Jesum glaube“.
