Biography
Lokamer: Georg David L., Jurist, ist in Landau, wo sein Vater Pastor war, um 1588 geboren, 1608 kam er nach Straßburg um die Rechte zu studiren, ward Georg Obrecht's und Justus Meyer's Schüler. Um 1615 trat er als Begleiter mehrerer Studirender seine „peregrinatio academica“ an, die ihn nach Wittenberg, Leipzig, Gießen, durch Böhmen und das nördliche Deutschland und Dänemark führte und mit seiner Promotion in Heidelberg 1618 abschloß. Bald darauf wurde er Professor in Straßburg, wo er am 26. April 1637 starb. — Außer zahlreichen Dissertationen: „Centuria quaestionum criminalium", Arg. 1623. 4°. — „Annotationes in Justin. institut. libr. IV", Rost. 1632. Argent. 1634. 12°. — „Quaestiones Justinianeae“, Argent. 1634. 8°. 1658. 12°. — „Quaestiones Justin. et feudales“, Argent. 1659. 8°.
