  • Biography

    Leuren: Peter L., Jesuit, geb. zu Köln am 13. Mai 1646, † zu Koblenz am 16. November 1723. Er war in Trier zum Doctor der Theologie promovirt und wurde zuletzt Rector des Jesuitencollegiums in Koblenz. Man besitzt von ihm nachstehende meist canonistische Schriften: 1) „Forum beneficiale“ (Das Beneficial-Gerichtswesen), Köln 1704, dann Venedig — ein in Italien und Spanien sehr anerkanntes Werk; 2) „Vicarius Episcopalis sive Tractatus de Vicariis Episcoporum“, Colon. 1708, fol.; 3) „Forum ecclesiasticum“, 5 voll. fol., Mainz und Augsburg 1717 und 1720; 4) ein Compendium der gesammten Philosophie, Köln 1683.
