    Hohenems**)Zu Bd. XII S. 672.: Marx Sittich III. v. H., † nach 1564. — Ein Enkel Marx Sittich's I. von dessen Sohne Markward, war H. 1547 Hauptmann über ein Fähnlein Landsknechte im schmalkaldischen Kriege unter J. J. Medici, zeichnete sich 1548 vor Constanz aus, stand 1557 als kaiserlicher Oberstlieutenant in Ungarn, wurde 1560 von Ferdinand I. in den Reichsgrafenstand erhoben,|wie seine Vettern, die Söhne Wolfgang Dietrichs; wurde 1561 mit der Landvogtei in Schwaben, dann mit derjenigen von Burgau bekleidet, machte 1564, wie Graf Jakob Hannibal, den Kriegszug an der afrikanischen Küste als Oberstlieutenant mit und saß später als österreichischer Vogt in Bludenz.
