    Zu der hessischen Familie gehören unter anderem →Christian (1643–91), doctor medicinae, Leibmedikus und Hofapotheker in Stockholm, dessen Sohn →Carl Gustav (1671–1725), als Dichter, Numismatiker und Archäologe am Hof von Schwarzburg-Sondershausen, dann als kaiserl. Rat in Wien. Als Dichter auf das „Emblem“ beschränkt; sein Versuch, das lateinische Distichon als „neue deutsche Vers- und Reimart“ mit Hexametern und Pentametern einzuführen, blieb ohne Erfolg (s. ADB XII; de Boor-Newald V).
