    Zur Familie gehören unter anderem die 3 Brüder Theodor (1765–1843), Generalsuperintendent in|Braunschweig, Adolf (1775–1843), Professor der Physiologie, Pathologie und Staatsarzneikunde in Erlangen, Verfasser eines berühmten Lehrbuchs der gerichtlichen Medizin (1812, 131859) (s. ADB XI; BLÄ), und Eduard (1785–1829), Professor der Rechte in Halle, Kriminalist (s. ADB XI), ferner Wilhelm (1834–96, Enkel(in) d. Heinrich Philipp, siehe unten), Professor der Anatomie in Tübingen (s. ADB 50), und dessen Kinder Friedrich (1868–1943), Professor der Pathologie und patholog. Anatomie in Breslau (s.
