Biography
Erber: Anton E., geb. 1659 auf Schloß Lugstall in Kärnthen, seit 1711 dem Jesuitenorden angehörig, lehrte Philosophie und Theologie zu Graz und in Wien; † 1746. Seine Schriften sind geographischen, philosophischen und theologischen Inhaltes. Der Geographie gehören an: „Topographia ducatus Styriae“ (eine Wiedergabe dessen, was über denselben Gegenstand in P. Granelli's Germania Austriaca enthalten ist). — „Topographia ducatuum Carinthiae et Carniolae“ (1728). Der Inhalt seiner philosophischen Arbeiten charakterisirt sich durch die Titel seiner hierher bezüglichen Schriften: „Discussio peripatetica, in qua philosophiae Cartesianae principia examinantur“ (1730). — „Cursus philosophicus methodo scholastica elucubratus“ (1750). Seine theologischen Schriften sind: „Dissertationes theologicae de conciliis oecumenicis" (1737). — „Epitome controversiarum religionem spectantium“ (1739). — „Theologia speculativa“ (1747 s.).
