  • Biography

    Steinweeg: Georg Friedrich St., evangelischer Theolog und Pädagog, † 1762. St. wurde zu Bottenheim im Württembergischen gegen Ende des 17. Jahrh. geboren, studirte in Tübingen, wo er vier Jahre lang Amanuensis des Theologen Pfaff war und als Magister der Philosophie promovirte. Seine amtliche Stellung erhielt er als Professor am herzoglich württembergischen Seminar in dem Kloster Denkendorf. In dieser Stellung starb er 1762. Von ihm existirt eine „Hebräische Grammatik“ (Stuttgart 1753) und Anmerkungen, chronologische Tabellen und Register zur 2. Ausgabe von Pfaff's: Institutiones historiae ecclesiasticae (Tübingen 1727).
