    Göschen: Otto G., Rechtsgelehrter, wurde geboren zu Berlin den 10. Juli 1808 als Sohn von Joh. Friedr. Ludwig G. Er studirte in Göttingen, war kurze Zeit Advocat, dann Accessist der Bibliothek in Göttingen, promovirte daselbst 1832 ("De adquisitione per eum qui serviat"), habilitirte sich 1833 in Berlin, wo er 1839 außerordentlicher Professor wurde, nachdem er einen Ruf nach Basel ausgeschlagen hatte. Frühjahr 1841 in das Spruchcollegium aufgenommen, ging er als ordentlicher Professor für canonisches Recht und deutsches Privatrecht 1844 nach Halle, war 1860—61 Rector und starb am 30. Sept. 1865 daselbst. In erster Ehe war er mit Anna v. Eichhorn (Tochter des preußischen Cultusministers) vermählt gewesen. Bekannt gemacht hat er sich durch: „Die goslarischen Statuten“, 1840 — „Das sächsische Landrecht nach der Quedlinburger Pergamenthandschrift“, 1853 — „Doctrina de matrimonio ex ordinationibus saec. XVI. adumbrata“, 1847 — „Doctrina de disciplina eccles. ex ordinationibus saec. XVI. adumbrata“, 1859 — Art. „Ehe“ in Herzog's Realencyklopädie III. 666 ff.
