    Bäßler: Johann Leonhard B., geb. 19. Dec. 1745 zu Memmingen, wo er zuletzt als Rector am Lyceum stand und 9. Octbr. 1811 starb, nachdem er zuvor in Arlesried, Volkertshofen, Berg das Pfarramt bekleidet hatte. Von seinen|"Geistlichen Liedern fürs Landvolk" (1778, vermehrt 1782) finden sich noch ein Paar in etlichen Gesangbüchern: „Schau ich auf jenen Tag zurück“ (Taufsegen), „Schmerz und Klage füllt das Land“ (bei großer Nässe). Einige andere Arbeiten von ihm verzeichnet Meusel, G. T. I.
