    Fust (rhein. Dialekt für Faust): Jakob F. zu Mainz, Goldschmied, tritt am 6. Novbr. 1455 für seinen Bruder Johann (s. u.), mit dem man ihn öfter verwechselt, als Zeuge gegen Junker Johann Gutenberg, den Erfinder der Typographie auf. Sein Wappen sind zwei gekreuzte Haken. Im J. 1462 war er Bürgermeister.
