    Alte angesehene, 1528 in Bern eingebürgerte Familie, meist Pfarrherren und Kaufleute; Emanuel (*1703), Stadtlieutenant, wurde wegen seiner Teilnahme an der Henziverschwörung als Hauptangeschuldigter 1749 enthauptet; →Emanuel (1775–1855), Kaufmann, stellte fast ein halbes Jahrhundert hindurch meteorologische Beobachtungen an (s. Pogg. I); →Carl (1792–1852), Apotheker, verfaßte „Die Naturwissenschaften in Bern“ (1828, s. Pogg. I); →Andreas (1660–1742), Glasmaler (s. ThB), →Daniel (1720–85), Goldschmied, Medailleur (s.
