Biography
Ernesti: Johann Heinrich Martin E., geb. den 29. Novbr. 1755 zu Millwitz bei Kronach, † den 10. Mai 1836 zu Koburg, wurde 1784 außerordentlicher, dann ordentlicher Professor zu Koburg, zuletzt Consistorialrath. Er schrieb eine Reihe von Schulbüchern, unter denen zu nennen sind: „Initia romanae latinitatis“, 1780, 2 Bde. (neue Auflage 1792); „Notitia Hermundurorum“, 1793, 2 Bde.; eine Schulausgabe des Horaz und eine „Clavis Horatiana"; „Alterthumskunde der Griechen, Römer und Deutschen“, 1809—10, 4 Theile.
