    Arnold: Heinrich Gotthold A., Maler, geb. 1785 zu Lamütz in Sachsen, † zu Dresden 1854, war Professor an der k. Akademie zu Dresden. Er erlernte die Malerei bei Prof. Schubert und malte Bildnisse und historische besonders kirchliche Compositionen, deren Zeichnung und Farbe zwar gelobt wurden, aber doch durchaus den Charakter des im Anfang des Jahrhunderts herrschenden Kunstverfalls an sich tragen.
