    Emminghaus: Theodor Georg Wilhelm E., Rechtsgelehrter, ein Sohn des gräflich Sayn’schen Hofpredigers Johann Daniel Anton E., geb. 1723 zu Hachenburg in der damaligen Grafschaft Sayn, † 24. Juli 1758 zu Jena. Er studirte in Jena und ward daselbst Doctor der Rechte, Privatdocent und Hofgerichtsadvocat, 1757 außerordentlicher Professor der Rechte. Erwähnenswerth sind seine Arbeiten zum Soester Recht: „Memorabilia Susatensia“, 1749, und „Commentarius in Jus Susatense antiquissimum“, 1755. — Günther, Lebensskizzen S. 73.
