  • Biography

    Die Familie stammt aus Friedberg (Wetterau). Ihr Frankfurter Ahnherr war →Johannes (1666–1724), der 1705 als Pfarrer nach Frankfurt berufen wurde. Der Goldschmied →Johann Heinrich (1674–1749) übernahm 1705 die 1689 erteilte Konzession für das erste Kaffeehaus in Frankfurt. Mitten im Buchhändlerviertel gelegen, war es in der 1. Hälfte des 18. Jahrhunderts führend im geselligen Leben der Stadt.
