    Eismann: Johann Anton E., Maler, geb. zu Salzburg 1604, besuchte später München, wo er für den Hof arbeitete, dann Venedig. Von hier wandte er sich nach Verona, besuchte mehrmals Deutschland, kehrte jedoch immer wieder nach Italien zurück und starb zu Venedig im J. 1698. E. malte Landschaften, auch Marinen und Schlachten, ziemlich im Stile Salvator Rosa's; sie tragen mehr oder weniger ein decoratives Gepräge. Aehnlich sind auch die Bilder seines Adoptivsohnes Karl, der ursprünglich Briseghella hieß.
