  • Biography

    Johann v. Woschütz, Oberlandrichter im Fürstentum Jägerndorf, gelangte 1491 durch Heirat in den Besitz von Lichten (Lichnow) b. Jägerndorf (Schlesien) und nannte sich danach „Lichnowksy“. Böhm. Grafenstand 1727, preuß. Fürstenstand (primogen) 1773, österr. Fürstenstand 1846. – Zur Familie gehören u. a.: Carl Fürst (1761–1814), Mäzen Beethovens (s. L), Wilhelm Gf. (1793–1864), österr. General (s. ÖBL), Felix Fürst (1814–48), Mäzen Liszts, Mitglied des preuß. Landtags, Abgeordneter des Kreises Ratibor zur Nationalversammlung, in Frankfurt ermordet (s. ADB 18), und Robert Gf. (1822–79), Domherr zu Olmütz.
