    Niedersächsischem Uradelsgeschlecht, zu dem auch gehören: Der hannoverische Forstmann →Johann Christian (1792–1862), der 1813 und 1815 ein Freikorps aus Forstleuten bildete, dann umfangreiche Aufforstungen durchführte. 1838-42 leitete er als Gouverneur die Ausbildung des Kronprinzen Georg (siehe ADB V). Dessen Vetter →Georg (1780–1872) war Generaladjutant von König →Ernst August von Hannover →Ernst von Düring-Pascha (1858–1944) organisierte das türkische Heeressanitätswesen und war 1898-1906 Professor der Dermatologie in Kiel, dann Sanatoriumsleiter in Dresden (siehe BLÄ).
