Biography
Hackmann: Jodocus H., † am 4. December 1710, Sohn des klopffechterischen Theologen Jacob H. (s. o.). Geboren am 23. August 1642, studirte H. zuerst Theologie und morgenländische Sprachen, war des Hebräischen so mächtig, daß er darin eine Rede hielt, wurde aber 1662 in Königsberg Jurist, begleitete junge preußische Edelleute nach Polen, wurde 1668 in Straßburg|Lic. jur., 1671 während er den Reichsproceß in Speyer studirte, Dr. jur., 1672 Prätor (Stadtrichter) und 1676 Burgemeister und Landrath in Stade, 1701 Justiz-, Hofgerichts- und Consistorialrath daselbst. Er starb, während er in Osterholz das Landgericht hägte. Bekannt ist er durch seinen „Tractatus juridicus de jure Aggerum, von Deichen und Dämmen und deren Gerechtigkeit. Impensis regiis.“ Stade 1690. 4º, mit einer wichtigen Urkunden-Mantisse.
