    Die Familie ist in Königsberg in der Neumark und in Pommern seit Anfang des 17. Jh. nachweisbar. Sie stellte Bürgermeister und brandenburg. Beamte. Der Hofkammergerichtsrat und Legationsrat →Conrad Humboldt († 1725) führte das Adelsprädikat, dessen Sohn war →Johann Paul (s. Gen. 1).
