Biographical Presentation
Bock: Aug. Karl B., Anatom, geb. 25. März 1782 in Magdeburg, seit 1813 Prosector und außerord. Professor der Anatomie in Leipzig, ist weniger wegen seiner productiv-wissenschaftlichen Thätigkeit auf dem Gebiete der Anatomie, als vielmehr wegen seiner hervorragenden Gewandtheit in der lichtvollen Darstellung anatomischer Gegenstände ausgezeichnet; von seinen zahlreichen Schriften, besonders Lehrbüchern und bildlichen Darstellungen (vgl. das vollständige Verzeichniß derselben bei Callisen, Schriftstellerlexikon II. 369. XXVI. 344) ist besonders erwähnenswerth seine „Beschreibung des fünften Nervenpaars und seiner Verbindungen“ etc. München 1817 ff., mit einem Nachtrage, ebendas. 1821 ff. B. starb 30. Jan. 1833.
