  • Biography

    Detharding: Dr. Georg D., ältester Sohn des vorigen, ist geboren zu Rostock am 15. April 1727. Er studirte Theologie zu Kopenhagen 1744, Rostock 1747, wurde hier Magister, ging dann 1750 nach Göttingen und habilitirte sich 1751 in Rostock. Am 12. August 1755 wurde er Prediger an der St. Jacobi-Kirche daselbst, promovirte zu Göttingen (abs.) 1764, wurde Director ministerii 1794 und starb am 3. Juli 1813. — Seinen Ruf hat er durch seine Schriften begründet, welche bei Koppe, Jetztleb. gel. Meckl. III. S. 105 verzeichnet sind. Die daselbst S. 88 gegebene Biographie beruht auf Detharding's eigenen Angaben.
