    Gründer der Familienfirma (Feinmechanik, Meßinstrumente und Reißzeuge) und damit Begründer der feinmechanischen Industrie in Pfronten (Allgäu) war →Thomas (1775–1859). Seine Söhne →Fritz (1803–94), →Karl (1818–96) und Heinrich und die Enkel Max (beide s. unten), →Adolf (1844–1925) und →Otto (1855–1908) waren in der Firma tätig.
