    Frank: Christoph, geb. zu Nürnberg 26. Oct. 1624, gebildet zu Altorf, Rinteln und Helmstädt, wurde bei Stiftung der Universität Kiel 1665 Professor der Logik und Metaphysik, im folgenden Jahre außerordentlicher Professor der Theologie, nach seines Lehrers Peter Musäus Tode Ordinarius, nach Korthold's Tode prof. primarius, auch Prokanzler der Universität und schleswig-holsteinischer Kirchenrath, † 11. Februar 1704. Unter seinen theologischen Schriften gehören die bedeutenderen der dogmatischen Polemik an, die jedoch, entsprechend dem Bildungsgange des Mannes, einen gemäßigten Charakter trägt. — „Exercitationes X Anti-Wendelinianae“, 1687; „Exercitationes X Anti-Limborchianae“,|1694; „Brevis et liquida demonstratio deitatis Christi“ (gegen Socinianism.), op. posth. 1705, herausg. von seinem Sohne, Wolfgang Christoph, welcher als Professor der Theologie und Archidiaconus zu Kiel 1716 starb.
