Biography
Rösser: Columbanus R. (Röser), Benedictiner, geb. zu Münchstockheim am 11. Decbr. 1736, † zu Würzburg am 12. Decbr. 1780. Er studirte zu Würzburg und Bamberg, trat 1760 in die Abtei Banz¶ ein, wurde 1764 Priester, docirte von 1770 an Philosophie in der Abtei und wurde im October 1772 Professor der Logik und Metaphysik in Würzburg. Er hat „Institutiones logicae“ und „metaphysicae“ 1774, „Institutiones philosophicae de homine et Deo“ 1780|(Grundzüge einer Culturgeschichte) und einige kleinere philosophische Schriften, alle lateinisch, veröffentlicht, auch an dem „Fränkischen Zuschauer“ mit gearbeitet.
